With just weeks to go before the prestigious ceremony, shortlisted applicants are preparing for the Meridian Celebration of Innovation Awards.
The awards are organised by the West Midlands Academic Health Science Network (WMAHSN) and take place on Friday 13 July in Birmingham city centre. Applications were open to entries from healthcare, industry, academia and the not-for-profit sector, covering a range of categories from health start-up to advanced diagnostics.
Dr Christopher Parker, Managing Director of WMAHSN explained: “This this the third year of our awards to recognise and celebrate the work of individuals and organisations across the region in delivering better health and care. All of our shortlisted entrants are answering real challenges that face professionals, patients and carers every day.
“The quality of submissions has grown year on year, and so everyone who has made it through to the final should be rightly proud of this achievement. I wish everyone the very best of luck and look forward to celebrating with all finalists when the winners are announced at the Meridian Celebration of Innovation Awards ceremony.”
This year’s awards celebrate the Meridian Innovation Health Exchange, the WMAHSN’s pioneering interactive online exchange for anyone to share their innovations and ideas, build groups and networks and make contact with people whose innovations could change healthcare in the West Midlands.
