Are you interested in Improving digital solutions used in the NHS? What about identification of patient deterioration?

Funded by InnovateUK, the DITO project seeks to improve patient outcomes and reduce staff administration time when developing digital systems to enable their constant improvement and remove vendor lock-in. This will be achieved by implementing an open approach to the full digital application life cycle, developing an eObs application which will provide an essential support system to reduce deterioration of patients, and subsequent rapid response processes.

The project is led by OpusVL, an open source software integrator. Supporting partners include Coventry University, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, The Apperta Foundation CIC and Open UK.

Come and find out more about this exciting project, including the results of our research and development activities so far, plus the opportunity to get hands on with the emerging prototype. There will also be time for networking, drinks and canapés.

6pm – Arrival, registration, refreshments

6.30pm – Project presentations: Find out about the project, the clinical need and results of the research findings thus far. There will also be an overview to our proposed solutions to current barriers to implementing open source electronic observation solutions to improve identification of patient deterioration, including The Custodian Model and Open Source Governance.

7.45pm onwards – Tour of Coventry University patient simulation facilities, opportunities to get hands on with the emerging product prototype, networking, drinks and nibbles.

9.30pm – End
